Game Laws
Below you will find the various laws of Crimson Moon. This law or a.k.a. (rule) page defines what is and isn't allowed in the game and is expected to be followed in conjunction with the Terms Of Service! These laws apply to all players of Crimson Moon. You will not receive special treatment based on any Upgrade Store purchases, Rank or VIP Status.
Unless specified under each law all Crimson Moon staff will use the following guidelines in establishing punishments or jail-time for those players who fail to follow the laws of Crimson Moon!
We reserve the right to edit and change the laws at anytime. Any major changes to the laws will be announced to players.
The default guidelines are the following:

The above jail terms are per Terms Of Service or Law Violation. This means that no matter the rule (law) broken, your total number of offenses will increase by one.

The above guidelines are per area so each offense is based on the area the offense occurred in. However, Upon staff member discretion any listed area can be permanently removed from a player account for blatant disregard for the rules or abuse of that area. |
Profiles
Profiles are a privilege in Crimson Moon where available. This is an area
of the game where a player may customize a message that is displayed to any
player that read their character information. This uses of this are for players
to be able to post information relating to their character, quotes, etc.
The Law
This in not to be used in any way to post information in violation of the Terms Of Service. On top of the Terms of Service the profile area is not to be using any way shape or form in a negative fashion. Regardless if a player name is mentioned or not...this is not a place to post derogatory comments of any nature. As well no foreign language is allowed in profiles. We read English and are not able to monitor anything else therefore if we can't understand it we always assume it's a violation of the profile law. You are allowed to post who your friends are and even enemies as long as it goes no farther than this. The profile is also not your own personal forum for posting issues you have with the game or your thoughts on a staff decisions. Posting links to other sites that don't comply with our Terms of Service is also prohibited. Song lyrics are allowed but be sure the content and verbiage of the song are within the Terms Of Service! The use of a profile to protest or immortalize a jailed/banned player is strictly prohibited. Anyone found breaking any of these rules will be jailed according to the default jail terms.
Additional Punishment Information
In most cases a warning will be issued and the profile will be cleared. Repeat offenses will lead to jail-time according to the default guidelines. As well if a player has a profile cleared 3 times or more during the life of the account that player will lose their profile privilege forever.
Accounts
This game is not intended for persons under 13 years of age. Some content
may be inappropriate for younger children. By signing up for an account you are
stating you are 13 years old and you have parent’s permission if still a minor.
You are only allotted one account per individual. At no time are you allowed to
own and operate multiple accounts (Multi). We understand that there are
households with multiple players which may appear as a Multi. If a staff member
contacts you with regard to this, please be respectful and politely work with
the staff member until the issue is resolved.
Any player who was previously banned from the game, is not allowed to return. If
it is determined that a banned player has returned, their new account will be
banned without warning.
Account sharing is not allowed. No one is to log into another's account for any
reason. This includes Mining, Training or any other action that is performed by
the owner of the account.
You are responsible for your account's security. Choose a strong, secure
password that you will not forget. A random alpha-numeric password is the most
secure. CM will not be held accountable for the integrity of your password and
should your account be accessed we hold no responsibility for any loss or theft.
There may come a time when you wish to delete your account and start a new one.
Before you start a new account, you must contact a Staff member to have your old
account set up for deletion. You will be required to provide the secret pass
phrase you choose when signing up for the game. A list of all pass phrases is
located in the Governmental section of Melania.
The Law
Any Players found to be under the age of 13 will have their
accounts banned by staff.
Any player who owns and operates multiple accounts will have all secondary
accounts banned and the primary jailed according to the rules above with the
exception of no warning. The account will be jailed for a minimum of 7 days.
Anyone found starting a second account to contact Staff with regards to a
jailing, will have the second account banned and the jail term increased by 7
days on the primary account. If you wish to inquire about your jailing, please
private message a staff member on the External Forums.
Those found sharing their account will be jailed along with the one accessing
that account.
Mail\Game Chats\Forums
These areas of the game allow players to communicate with one another.
Currently there are four versions of game chat, The VIP pub, Help Chat, Clan
Chat and Game Chat. The Help Chat is there to allow players to ask questions a
receive answers. It is not to be used as a public chat.
The Law
This is not to be used in any way to post information in violation of the Terms Of Service. These areas are to remain free from any swear, sexual, ethnic, offensive/defamatory religious or controversial content, and sexually explicit chat. In addition, the use of acronyms containg profane terms or partially edited words is forbidden. Anyone found conveying the above will face jail time.
Additional Punishment Information
Anyone found casually chatting or abusing the help chat, will be susceptible to the jail terms. If a New Player Assistant (NPA) or Staff member is not online or available, another player may help answer questions. If a NPA or Staff member is online and answering questions, please allow them to do their job and refrain from jumping in. If your input is needed, you will be asked.
Personal Information
Crimson Moon is a public website meaning anyone can see data posted in
public locations. Posting private information about someone without their
consent is prohibited.
The Law
Anyone found posting public information such as someone's name, address, phone, etc without consent will face jail time according to the default jail terms. Staff can at their discretion increase jail sentences based on the severity of the offense.
Harassment\Personal
Attacks
Harassment and personal attacks are taken seriously and will not be
tolerated. Harassment via mail, profiles, battle messages, mail signatures, chat
rooms, a third party or any other form of in game, public access area is
prohibited. If a player requests a cease in communication with another player,
any further contact will be considered
harassment. Using Hitlists and Friendlists to spam a players account will be
considered harassment. Personal log entries posted onto a profile do not
constitute harassment.
Staff members will not be argued with or harassed. If you feel a staff member
has acted unfairly then you must direct your complaint to Delvagan without
exception. If you are found to 'bad-mouth' a staff member you will be subject to
the TOS rules on etiquette toward staff.
The Law
Anyone found to be harassing or personally attacking a player will be jailed as per the default jail terms. Please be aware that if we find out that you are trying to get someone jailed for harassment you will be jailed!
Additional Information
Gifts: Gifts are limited by game parameters as to how many per day can be sent
to one player by another. For this reason they are not considered harassment.
Plasma Drain: Plasma Drains are limited by game parameters as to how many per
day can be used on one player by another. For this reason they are not
considered harassment.
Chain Killing: This is when someone kills another every hour. This is allowed by
the game parameters. For this reason these kills are not considered harassment.
Spawn Killing: This is when the same person kills you repeatedly in the same
hour after you have healed yourself. This can be controlled by a toggle switch
in your Account Options area. However, the Spawn Kill limits are null and void
if both Clans, yours and the killers, are at war.
The Law
Should we find that Spawn Killing is being used in retaliation to a report made
to Staff, default jail terms will be applied.
Sale Of Game
Items/Data
All Crimson Moon Data is the sole property of Crimson Productions L.L.C.
The sale of any Crimson Moon data is strictly prohibited.
The Law
If any account is found to be purchasing data from other player or selling data to other players for any form of currency outside the game all involved accounts will be banned. Continued abuse of this policy could result in possible legal action. Note: By purchasing any Package from the Upgrade store you are granted the right to use that Package in game only. You are not granted the right to sell that information outside the game.
User Scripts/Programs
Players agree that they will not use any scripts or software to interact
with the game by any means. This includes the use of any auto refreshers or
other browser add ins that interact with the game.
The Law
Any interaction outside what is provided by Crimson Productions L.L.C. staff is strictly prohibited will result in the banning of the account.
Profile/Clan Banners
This is an area of the game where a player may customize a picture to
portray their character or clan. This image must be hosted outside of the game
and the link address provided.
The Law
All banners must remain clear of all swear, sexual, ethnic, religious or controversial content. All private areas of the body must be fully covered and not exposed. Using a banner to slander or harass another player is not allowed. The use of a banner to protest or immortalize a jailed/banned player is strictly prohibited. Anyone found breaking any of these rules will be jailed according to the default jail terms.
Clans
The Law
You may not organize any clan that are based on, or present
themselves like, any racist, sexist, anti-religious, anti-ethnic,
anti-homosexual, or other hate-making philosophy. We reserve the right to change
or delete any clan we deem in violation without refund of any fees paid.
Clan rankings must be free of all swear, sexual, ethnic, religious or
controversial content. In addition, the use of acronyms containing profane terms
or partially edited words is forbidden. If any clan is found to have
inappropriate rankings, the Clan Owner will be held accountable and will be
subject to the default jail terms.
Clan Websites are configured by the members of Crimson Moon and Crimson Moon has
no affiliations or liability as to the content of these sites! You are not to
link your clan site to any other games, other games forums or pornographic
sites. If your clan site links to any of these types of sites, the clan will be
deleted and the Clan Owner Banned.
Clan Public/Private Messages must be free of all swear, sexual, ethnic,
religious or controversial content. In addition, the use of acronyms containing
profane terms or partially edited words is forbidden. If any clan is found to
have inappropriate messages, the Clan Owner will be held accountable and will be
subject to the default jail terms.
Clan Tags are a privilege and must not be abused. They are to remain free of all
swear, sexual, ethnic, religious or controversial content. In addition, the use
of acronyms containing profane terms or partially edited words is forbidden.
Clan Tags are not to be used as a method of protest of a jailing. Anyone found
to be breaking this law will be subject to the default jail terms.
Advertising
Users of Crimson Moon may at no time advertise for any other site or
provide links to another site or game. Opportunities exist for sites to
advertise with us. Please see the advertise with us link on the main page for
more information.
The Law
Any Player found advertising or providing links to other games will be banned without warning.
Hacking/Theft/Cheating
Any individual who attempts to reverse engineer, hack, gain unauthorized entry
into or undermine the system integrity of Crimson Moon (including attempting to
access any internal part of the game from an offsite location) will be dealt
with to the fullest extent of the law. Any attempt to cheat or find ways to
cheat in Crimson Moon will result in being banned from the game indefinitely!
Bugs are to be reported immediately either using the forum or to a staff member.
Failure to report a bug and continued abuse of a bug will lead to an account
being banned. Any bug which could greatly effect the framework of the game or
lead to mass unbalanced issues is to be reported to the game owner immediately
and only to the game owner. You agree to only play Crimson Moon through an
internet connection and internet browser. You will not create, use or provide
any server emulator or other site where Crimson Moon could be played, and you
will not post or distribute any utilities, emulators or other software tools
related to Crimson Moon without the express written permission of the Game
Owner.
Falsifying Complaints
Anyone found falsifying complaints or editing mails to better themselves will be
subject to the default jail terms.
Game Information
Game Info consists of game quest information, Question of the Day (QOTD) answers
and Spy info.
The Law
Game info is not to be displayed in public areas. It is however, allowed to be
displayed in private clan forums. You are not to beg a staff member to spy other
players. Anyone found breaking this law will be subject to the default jail
terms.
Begging
Using the mail system or Chat Rooms to beg staff or New Player Assistants (NPA's)
for extra items or in game finances is prohibited. Anyone found breaking this
law will be subject to the default jail terms.
